Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) affects 1.8 million Americans — including thousands of Kansans managing blood sugar 24/7. Without early detection, T1D can lead to serious complications like heart disease, stroke, blindness, and kidney disease. That’s why the Kansas School Nurses Organization, Kansas Department of Education, Kansas Legislature, and USA-Kansas are working together to raise awareness and provide schools and families with resources to help keep Kansas kids safe.

USA-Kansas is also in Garden City today working with our Elevate Leadership 1 cohort. They are finishing their initial discussion of the "What Matters Most" framework, then beginning discussion on what the research says on Change. #edleadershipmatters #elevateleadership
