In the Principal’s role you face many decisions regarding the implementation of increasingly complex Special Education requirements. Do you often wish you had the full understanding of the law and the power of the IEP? We will help you build a solid foundation in Special Education that will help you make the best decisions for your students and staff as we work to achieve success for all your stakeholders. Sessions will be interactive and include time for reflection and collaboration on how to take the content back to the building to assure success and well-being for everyone. Session topics will include managing the IEP process (quality and compliance), complying with legal requirements regarding student behavior, and hot topics in our schools.
Session 1 will work to build a foundation of special education knowledge. Session 2 will work to strengthen that foundation and build on it.
All Building level leaders, teacher leaders (Principal Designee when in charge), school counselors - anyone making decisions regarding Special Education. Individuals with a need to understand the law and best practices in Special Education.
