Call for Nominations: Friends of Education Award

There may be no greater time to recognize those business, community organizations and public sector partners who support public education. The Friends of Education program, sponsored by the Confidence in Public Education Task Force, was established to recognize volunteer efforts throughout the state in five major categories: Recognition Awards:

The Friends of Education is a recognition program in which all nominees are honored with a Confidence Task Force Certificate of Award. 


All school buildings and/or districts are encouraged to submit names of individuals and organizations that demonstrate support of public education. 


Nomination Process:

The nomination process has changed this year! The process has been revised significantly to make it easier for buildings/districts to submit nominations (the application is streamlined and online; the deadline has been moved).

About the Confidence in Public Education Task Force

The Confidence in Public Education Task Force is a non-profit corporation whose primary purpose is to strengthen confidence in Kansas public education and to increase awareness of the positive aspects of public education in this state.

The Task Force was created in 1981 to promote cooperation among state education agencies, bring recognition to volunteers serving public education in Kansas, and to heighten awareness of the important role of public education in our society.
