The Kansas State Department of Education is accepting nominations for the 2013 Kansas Teacher of the Year. This program identifies, recognizes, and utilizes representatives of excellent teaching in the elementary and secondary classrooms of the state. Its mission is to build and utilize a network of exemplary teachers who are leaders in the improvement of schools, student performance, and the teaching profession.
Each school district may nominate one elementary and one secondary classroom teacher for the 2013 Kansas Teacher of the Year. The 2013 Kansas Teacher of the Year Nomination Form is available on the
KSDE website.
The nomination form should be given to your district’s nominees as soon as possible so that these teachers have adequate time to complete the nomination form.
