USA|Kansas Membership Benefits
USA|Kansas is an organization dedicated to providing professional representation for our member associations and individual members. USA|Kansas now offers members Liability Insurance programs to protect against costly litigation. Liability insurance protects your assets when sued for something you did (or didn't do) to cause an injury or property damage. The amount of coverage you need depends on several factors that our partner insurance provider can discuss with you. Complete the online form to receive an analysis and quote for all liability insurance types.
USA|Kansas members have access to legal assistance for job related matters, including: contract review, wrongful dismissal, and involuntary change in status. This service is available to full members after one (1) year of paid membership.
K12Masters has become the national leader in providing best practices and processes in facilities management, offering a broad selection of resources to support superintendents, school business officials, facility directors and other school leaders. Recently, the USA|Kansas Board of Directors voted to become a partner organization and appointed Rob Balsters, Seaman USD 345 Deputy Superintendent and KASBO representative, to serve on the K12Masters Advisory Board.

On Friday, the Student Performance and Efficiency Commission submitted its final report to the Kansas Legislature, along with recommendations for proposed legislation. Sam Williams, Commission Chair, is scheduled to present the recommendations a joint meeting of the House and Senate Education Committees this Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.

KPERS Members: Your Benefits Are Changing.
To help members and employers understand the benefit changes enacted this past legislative session, the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS) has developed a special section on their website for changes going into effect in January, 2014.
Recent reports indicate that some school district firewalls may be blocking communication from USA|Kansas and some of our member associations. Sometimes, systems will see multiple people at one USD, getting the same email at the same time, as suspicious activity. To ensure that you receive communication from USA|Kansas, please provide the following information list of IP addresses to your IT departments.
